Andrea is currently working on a new series based on the breakers on Youghal beach, also known as groynes. These wooden structures are used to prevent coastal erosion. Over the years they have gradually been worn down, the forces of nature having sculpted them into beautiful, almost surreal sculptures. At the moment Andrea is working on some drawings of the breakers, her intention is to make this new work more abstract, allowing the viewer their own interpretation.
